Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of My Connect Buddy (the "Service"), operated by Orana Software Inc. (Wyoming, USA) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

My Connect Buddy is software for running events — selling tickets and passports, enrolling vendors, recording booth redemptions and attendee connections, and reporting on it all. We provide the software; you run your events.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure
• You're responsible for all activity under your account
• You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use

3. Your Responsibilities as an Organizer

If you run events on the Service, you are:

• The merchant of record for your events. Ticket and vendor payments are processed on your own connected Stripe account; you are responsible for delivering what you sell, and for refunds and disputes
• The data controller for the attendees and vendors whose data you collect. You are responsible for lawful collection, for the consent language on your registration forms, and for honoring privacy requests from your attendees
• Responsible for the accuracy and legality of your event content, pricing and communications

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive events
• Send unsolicited communications in breach of anti-spam laws
• Collect or share attendee data without a lawful basis and, where required, consent
• Interfere with, reverse-engineer or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Upload malware or content that infringes others' rights

5. Fees and Payment

• Subscription — a recurring fee keeps your account active, billed via Stripe in your chosen currency. Cancel anytime; the subscription is not refundable for the current period
• Event fees — for 3-way events we take a percentage of the ticket and vendor prices you set (currently 5% of tickets and 10% of vendor fees, with a small per-transaction minimum). For 2-way networking events, a flat per-event fee applies by attendee band
• Vendor purchases — vendors may purchase consent-gated lead lists; those charges are between the vendor and us
• Fees are exclusive of taxes, which are your responsibility where applicable
• We may change fees on notice; changes don't affect events already underway

6. Payments and Payouts

Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms. Payouts for your events go to your connected Stripe account on Stripe's schedule. We are not a bank and do not hold your funds; chargebacks and disputes are handled through Stripe and are your responsibility as merchant of record.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design and branding, is owned by us and our licensors. You retain ownership of the content and data you upload; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

8. Availability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that results (including reporting figures) are error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; you may export your data beforehand as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Wyoming have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notified to you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
